Marcello Lo Giudice has recently been invited to the 54. Venice Biennale, Italian Pavillion-Corderie dell'arsenale; his works are characterized by an interest in remote viewing of seas, deserts and still virgin territories, and bears a message meant to push evolution of man and civilization in a more correct view of conserving the beauty of our world. In this artworks we can distinguish three stages of being and of society: in the first, made up by painting on canvas, an imaginary mapping of geological landscapes combine to enhance our emotions: here the feeling of connection and protection for the world around us and the possibility of a peaceful and productive coexistence between man and nature is revealed as an essential issue. In the second stage, the Totem (ripped mattresses covered with pure colors) are represented the cruelty of the war and pain when they touch the intimacy of the individual, and let us understand the rules of our society. But, still, there is a hope, represented by the third and final stage: the, with a multitude of brightly colored butterflies -an high symbol of hope and rebirth- symbolizing the possibility of overcoming the war horrors. The initiative was under the patronage of ASSEDIL and Confindustria GGI (Young Entrepreneurs Group) and was sponsorized by SIAT Insurance.
